It’s well within your right as a pet owner to do whatever you desire with your pet’s ashes once you receive them back from our crematorium.
You may already have your own ideas lined up on exactly what you’d like to do with your pet’s ashes, maybe you aren’t quite ready to really part with them so you want to keep them in your home or near your pet’s favourite spot.
If you feel like you need to do something with your pet’s ashes, but you aren’t entirely sure what – we have a few ideas that may help you.
First up, you can do a home burial of your pet’s ashes. If you choose our scattertube option, the tubes are biodegradable and are perfect for burial. You could decorate the spot so that you remember where your pet’s a
shes are buried and you can visit that spot when you’re feeling like you just want to be close to them again.
You could also scatter your pet’s ashes in a similar fashion to a home burial of the ashes. You can scatter them at home, in their favourite place to go for a walk or anywhere you like. There aren’t any laws on where you can scatter your pet’s ashes but if it is on private land, make sure you have the landowner’s permission first.
The only issue with a home burial of the ashes or scattering them is that what if you were to move home? After a number of years, it would be extremely difficult to retrieve the ashes from a burial. This is something you should bear in mind when considering burying your pet’s ashes.
You can keep your pet’s ashes, and have them on display in your home. Our wooden caskets and signature urns are ideal for this. We also offer different shaped and ornamental type urns which are modern and ideal for display. This
way, your pet will always be around and you can take them with you if you decide to move home. They come in an array of styles and colours, perfect to match up with your home décor.
Another option, and our favourite one is turning your pet’s ashes into jewellery. It’s a comforting thought to know if you are wearing a necklace, bracelet or even earrings then your pet is alongside you with every step. If you look online, you will see this can be very pricey and usually ranges from around £350-£800 for something like earrings or a necklace pendant.
We offer an excellent service by Ashes with Art. This the same service as those you’ve seen online or on social media, but at a much lower cost to our customers. Ashes in Art offer a range of jewellery and art including necklaces, pendants, charms, earrings, rings and cufflinks. They’re available in numerous styles to suit you and also in a great choice of colours. The cremation jewellery and memorial jewellery is skillfully handmade to your design, precious metal and size. By making the cremation jewellery themselves by hand, they can ensure the highest quality, ensuring the final piece is appropriate for such a precious glass gemstone.
